Advance Screening for Tribeca Film Festival Documentary Spotlighting African-American LGBTQ Fashion Icon

filmfestivalThe OUTshine Film Festival, in partnership with Magnolia Pictures, is hosting an advance screening of LGBTQ fashion icon documentary, “The Gospel According to Andre”. Director Kate Novack’s intimate portrait in The Gospel According to André takes viewers on an emotional journey from André’s roots growing up in the segregated Jim Crow South to become one of the most influential tastemakers and fashion curators of our times.

“The documentary is a deeply loving, frequently beautiful testament to the former Vogue editor, who rose from humble beginnings in North Carolina to become arguably the high fashion world’s first major African-American tastemaker, as well as the type of multi-lingual, Russian-lit-citing public intellectual who is perfectly at ease gossiping on TV with Wendy Williams.” – Variety Magazine.

OUTshine is offering a limited number of free tickets for the advance screening. Watch the film trailer here, and RSVP for your FREE ticket here.
