BABY ARIEL: “Me declaro una super fans de los Zombies”

Con tan solo 19 años de edad  Ariel Rebecca Martin, más conocida con Baby Ariel se dio a conocer por sus videos en la plataforma social ‘Tik Tok’, donde se gano el amor de sus seguidores. Entre sus múltiples actividades esta el canto, personalidad del social media y actriz. Y gracias a la actuación ganó el ‘Tren Choice Award’ por ‘Choice Muser’ en el 2016 y 2017. Actualmente forma parte del elenco de ‘Zombies 2’ con su personaje de Wynter que se estrena hoy, 14 de Febrero,  por Disney Channel.

En el año 2017  la revista Time la reconoció como la persona más influyente en el internet, y por Forbes, en el mismo año, estuvo en la lista de las top entertainment influencers. Todos sus logros han sido por su arduo trabajo y acompañado por su talento que la hace brillar.

¿Como te sientes de ser parte de Zombies 2?

“Oh Dios mio, esto es maravilloso! No solo fue divertido y gratificante estar en el set todos los días trabajando en el proyecto, sino por todo el equipo que estuvo en el, y me siento afortunada de tener un grupo de amigos. Me declaro una super fan de los Zombies y muero que vean todos la película”

¿Crees en los zombies o solo piensas que es parte de la imaginación?

“Realmente no creo en los zombies, pero lo que si creo es en el mensaje y temática de la película. Es la primera película que tiene un mensaje muy valioso de aceptación y querer a la gente con sus diferencias. En esta película se basa en amarte a ti mismo, estar orgulloso de quien eres y no tener miedo de mostrar tus particularidades con otros”

Eres mitad israelí y cubana. ¿Qué es lo más divertido de ser multicultural?

“De verdad, esto es solo parte de la historia! Mi mamá es mitad cubana e israelí. Mi papá es mitad panameño y español , entonces eso me hace ‘super multicultural’. Esto me ayuda a darme cuenta que soy parte de todo el mundo. Aunque yo sea americana, soy una ciudadana del mundo, y necesito prestar atención y querer a todos por igual”

¿Cuál es tu comida cubana favorita?

“Me gusta mucho la palomilla con chimuchurri servida con arroz y frijoles”

Vimos en tu instagram una publicación donde dices que tu mamá es tu mejor amiga. ¿Cuál es la mayor enseñanza que ha dado?

“Mi mama es maravillosa. Ella es mas que una mama, ella es realmente mi mejor amiga. Me ha enseñado muchísimo, pero lo mas importante es que crea en mí al 1000% y escuche mi corazón. Algunas veces estoy tan aturdida con tantas cosas que pasan, pero ella me dice que escuche mi corazón. Siempre tiene la mejor respuesta!”

El día de la premier de la película es el San Valentine’s day. Tienes algunos planes para ese día?

“No puedo esperar! Tengo muchos planes con mis amigos para ver juntos la película. Será una fiesta grandiosa de zombies, lobos y cheerleaders”

¿Cuál seria el mejor mensaje para la gente joven que quiere ser como tú?

“Quiero que sepan que todos son especiales. Somos únicos y bellos en todas la formas, somos únicos en el mundo y nadie se nos parece. Tienen que amarse al 1000% en su autenticidad. Que nunca se dejen vencer y dejar que alguien lo trate de vencer. Lo mas importante es ir en la búsqueda de la mejor versión de cada uno”

¿Qué nuevos planes tienes para el 2020?

“Lo primero es esperar porque todo el mundo vea ‘Disney Fam Jam’ que será en Disney Channel en Febrero 23. Es un show divertido creado por Phil Wright, que fue quien me introdujo como co-host en ZOMBIES 2. Luego de eso tengo varias propuestas para películas y series, y me gustaría dirigirlas. También he escrito mucha música. Canciones que han sido inspiradas directamente de mi corazón y algo diferente que mis fans estaban acostumbrados a escuchar. Quiero lanzar mucha música nueva todo el año.”

How did you feel to be part of Zombies 2? 

“Oh my gosh – it has been amazing! Not only was it fun and great to be on set everyday working on the movie with such an amazing script, cast, and crew but I feel so lucky to now have a great group of friends. I am the biggest Zombies superfan and can’t wait for everyone to see the movie!!!”

Do you believe in Zombies or do you think it’s all imagination?

“I don’t believe Zombies are really real, but I do believe in the message and themes of the movies. The first movie had a really strong and important message which was to accept and embrace people for their differences. And in this movie, the message is to accept and embrace yourself- to be proud of who you are and to not be afraid to share your own uniqueness with others.”

You are half Cuban and half Israeli. What is the coolest part about being so multi-cultural? 

“Actually, that’s only half the story! My mom is half Cuban and half Israeli. And my dad is half Panamanian and half Spaniard, so I’m super multi-cultural! I think it helps me appreciate that we are all part of a bigger whole. That even though I’m American, really, I’m a citizen of the world. And that we should pay attention to each other and learn to appreciate each other.”

Us Latin’s identify ourselves with food. What is your favorite Cuban food? 

“I love a good palomilla steak with chimichurri sauce served with black beans and rice!”

We saw one of your posts on Instagram where you said “my mom is my bff.” What is the best thing your mom has taught you?  

“My mom is amazing. She really is more than a ‘mom’ – she really is my best friend.  She’s taught me so much, but I think the most important thing she taught me is to believe in myself 1000% and listen to my heart. Sometimes, my head goes crazy with a million thoughts spinning around and my mom reminds me to try and settle and just listen to my heart. It almost always gives the perfect answer.”

Your film premieres on Valentine’s day. What are your Valentine’s Day plans? 

“I can’t wait! A bunch of us from the cast are going to get together with friends and all watch the movie together! It’s gonna be a big Zombies slumber party with us Werewolves, Cheerleaders, and Zombies!”

What is your message for all the young people who look up to you and want to be like you? 

“I want every kid to know that they are special. That they are beautiful and unique and perfect in their own way and there is no one in the world that is just like them. So they should 1000% embrace their own uniqueness.  That if they ever get down, to have someone who has their back that they can talk to. And that they shouldn’t try to ‘be like me’ because they are unique and perfect and should try and be the best version of themselves they can be!”

What other plans do you have in 2020? 

“First off, I can’t wait for everyone to see Disney Fam Jam which premieres on Disney Channel on February 23. It’s a crazy fun show created by Phil Wright that I get to co-host with my ZOMBIES 2 castmate, Trevor Tordjman.  Beyond that, I hope to get to do a bunch more of the things I love (more acting in movies and series and hopefully directing). And I’ve been writing music like crazy. Songs that are straight from my heart and different from what my fans are used to.  So I hope to share a lot of my new music this year.”
